Adventure of the Amethyst

We've been reading this book every morning after a decade of the Rosary. I expected to finish it by October at the latest but it was so deep....we went from one religious/philosophical question to another and we didn't finish it until yesterday morning. This morning after the rosary Joe sighed deeply and said,"I miss the Lovells." (the family in the book) Yes, we all do. We learned a lot about missionaries, shrines, loving your neighbor, uses of money and time, well about Catholic life! We loved it. There is a chapter from it in Seton's World History--The Old Granary.
