Cher Ami
The Hobbits and I have been speeding our way through Susan Wise Bauer's Story of the World (speeding because we can't wait to revisit the Middle Ages once we are up to date with the present!) but I took a rabbit trail today and we read about Cher Ami the only bird to be awarded the Croix de Guerre.
